Double Takes
The Mercury is introducing Double Takes, a new monthly film series celebrating cinema.
Held on Sundays, Double Takes brings together two films for one shared cinematic experience, shining a spotlight on retro favourites, timeless classics and Australian cinema.
For the inaugural session, the South Australian Film Corporation and The Mercury present two iconic Australian films, made here in South Australia: Storm Boy and Picnic at Hanging Rock, both celebrating their 50th anniversary.
Revisit two films that captivated generations, experience them where they belong, on the big screen, and celebrate 50 years of Australian cinematic history.
