BERGMAN & ULLMANN: MASTER AND MUSE / A SYMBIOTIC COLLABORATION
The working relationship between Ingmar Bergman and Norwegian actress Liv Ullmann was one of the most significant collaborations in cinema. First working together on “Persona” in 1966, their professional partnership continued through the 70s, resulting in the masterpieces we present here. Ullmann became Bergman’s favourite actress and muse, with Ullmann frequently noting Bergman’s ability to draw out her best performances. Their collaboration significantly shaped both of their careers and left a lasting impact on world cinema.
