In the heart of Australia’s most flood-prone postcode, a community stands on the edge of impossible choices. Directed by Jordan Giusti, Floodland is a deeply human portrait of love, loss, and survival in the NSW town of Lismore.

Filmed over three years in the wake of repeated catastrophic floods, the documentary follows three residents as they confront the emotional and physical toll of living on the frontline of climate disaster. As homes disappear, livelihoods are upended, and the waters keep rising, each must decide whether to rebuild, remain, or leave behind the place they call home.

Floodland premiered at Sydney Film Festival in 2025, where it won the $40,000 Sustainable Future Award, for a movie that increases knowledge and awareness of climate change.
