Parikrama

Opens on February 22

Director: Goutam Ghose Run Time: 150 min. Language: Italian, Hindi

Alessandro is an Italian filmmaker making films on environmental issues while Lala is an Indian village boy who fled home to secure dignity and land for his displaced peasant family. The narrative in Parikrama travels through multiple spaces and times, through parallel experiences of its two protagonists that intercept, though they come from worlds apart.

During the voyage of Alessandro and his crew along river Narmada they meet the wonder boy Lala who is of the same age of his motherless son Francesco. The one without his mother, the other without his motherland.

Alessandro’s narrative takes a new turn as the river Narmada flows by.
