It’s a dang shame Starstruck didn’t set the box office alight in 1983 with its of-the-era soundtrack and out-of-this-world production design (care of Rocky Horror Picture Show visionary Brian Thomson), but the infectious tunes, visual bombasticness and serious sass of plucky heroine Jackie (Jo Kennedy) have rightly found this lost gem a legion of fans worldwide with its fame-chasing foibles of musical tomfoolery.
