Following the finale of his acclaimed HBO series How To with John Wilson, filmmaker John Wilson turns his curious eye to one of the world’s most ubiquitous building materials: concrete. After attending a workshop on how to write and sell a Hallmark movie, Wilson attempts to apply the formula to his own documentary, hoping to make the seemingly mundane subject commercially irresistible. What follows is a hilarious, eccentric and unexpectedly philosophical journey.

What the critics say:

“Wilson’s … feature shows the expert essayist as sneakily profound as ever, contemplating life and art and piecing together meaning from the fragments.” — Sight and Sound
