The Mercury presents a special opportunity for filmmakers across the country to step inside one of Australia’s most innovative production companies, as White Spark Pictures discuss their process, practice and future-facing vision in a special online Q&A.

This world-wide Zoom session will spotlight the team behind a globally recognised slate of 360 VR documentary work—projects that are not only pushing creative boundaries but proving the commercial viability of immersive storytelling.

At the centre of the conversation is White Spark Pictures’ pioneering approach to cinematic VR. Alongside sister company Surround Sync, they’ve also created patented audio technology that brings full 7.1 surround sound into VR cinema environments—bridging the gap between cutting-edge formats and traditional exhibition.

A successful Adelaide Fringe and encore season of VR cinema including the award winning The Great Kimberley Wilderness, has just completed a season at The Mercury.
