Intake 1: Short Film Script Development

With a lifelong passion for screen storytelling, Tristram Baumber is a writer, director and producer. Tristram is excited to be moving into the horror space with a number of feature film projects, most notably the forthcoming Site Unseen. He is the co-creator and executive producer of ABC TV’s The PM’s Daughter, which was nominated for two consecutive AACTA Awards for Best Children’s Program. He’s proud to be a writer on the ABC’s Logie-nominated reboot of Mother and Son. Tristram wrote for ABC series Born To Spy, as well as Netflix and ABC’s The Unlisted and Matt Okine’s The Other Guy, for Stan and Hulu. From 2017 to 2019, Tristram was in-house writer for Aquarius Films, working on a variety of feature and television scripts across genres. In 2014 he created and wrote the TV comedy Timothy, starring Stephen Curry and Denise Scott, for ABC TV.

Intake 1 consists of three 1hr consultations per short film project:

Consult 1, week of September 7

Consult 2, week of October 5

Consult 3, week of November 9      

Consults with Tristram will be via Zoom.

Short film scripts only up to 20 pages. No feature film scripts for this intake.

Scripts must be delivered via the online submission form by 5pm Monday 31 August 2026.

Successful projects will be notified by Friday 4 September 2026.
