The Mercury Youth Pathway Program supports young and aspiring South Australian creatives aged 16-25 who are ready to take their first steps toward the screen industry.
Supported by the James & Diana Ramsay Foundation, this 12-month initiative offers an all-access Mercury membership, plus a suite of tailored opportunities designed to help bridge the gap between study and professional practice – and connect you to the people and opportunities that can shape your career.
What’s included:
Up to 20 participants will receive a 12-month membership that includes:
Industry panels and networking events
Curated short film screenings and Q&As with filmmakers
One-on-one mentoring with industry professionals
Launch Lab professional development workshops
Professional script consultations
Behind-the-Screens sessions with screen industry leaders, curated by the SAFC
Access to Mercury equipment, post-production facilities and office spaces
Tickets to 300+ screenings throughout the year
Mercury’s QuickFlicks venue hire
Discounted South Australian Screen Awards (SASA) tickets and submission fees
Who can apply:
Open to South Australians aged 16-25 with an interest in a career in film, television or digital media.
The Mercury strongly encourages applications from underrepresented groups, including First Nations, female-identifying practitioners, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, Deaf or Disabled practitioners, those from LGBTQIA+ communities, and practitioners from regional and remote areas of South Australia.
Applications close Friday 19 December 2025 at 5.00pm.
Successful applicants will be announced in early February 2026.
