Silverscreen Script Club: Tony
Run Time: 60 min.
Mercury Exhibition Manager, Ryder Grindle, will lead this Script Club focusing on Tony, the new film from comedian/writer/director Matt Johnson (Nirvana The Band The Show) – telling the origin story of celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain. With the original screenplay by Todd Bartels & Lou Howe famously making the 2024 Blacklist (a prestigious list of the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood), but being radically revised by Matt Johnson and co-writer Matthew Miller, this discussion will focus on the changes between reality, the script and film and the question of how these three versions of biographical events can be so wildly different and yet the same.
Watch Tony in Friday’s 13 October Silverscreen here before the Script Club event.
